Scenic Door Architectural Event

In today’s world, windows and doors have become something so much more than just a basic building material. There are different sizes, shapes, exterior colors, functions, interior stain colors, hardware, grill patterns and more. Boring windows have become a thing of the past! Windows now inspire design and can really speak to the style of you and your home. This spring at Windows & Doors By Brownell we decided to create an event that allowed Marvin Windows and Doors to speak for themselves and INSPIRE. At our recent “Eat, Sip and Be Inspired” Event we did just that, with food and wine pairings to Marvin’s full line of window and door products.

It was our hope that people could really see the beauty of our Williston showroom and all the displays we have available for the builder/architect and their present and future homeowner. Plus this was an excellent way to introduce the newly finished Marvin Multi-Slide Scenic Door and its hot fire-engine red exterior aluminum clad color. This truly was a showstopper and the highlight of the entire event. Guests were able to eat and drink their way around our showroom, stopping at different “stations”.

The seven different stations set up throughout the showroom each had a different Marvin product/line on display. Some station highlights included:

The “Traditional with a New Twist” station featuring Marvin’s Next Generation Double Hung Window. Along with the window display, there was also a spin on the classic Manhattan drink and prosciutto wrapped scallops with a spicy dipping sauce.
The Integrity station had your elevated cheeseburger made with local organic beef and served with the desirable Heady Topper! Just like Integrity’s product, these items are the work horse in the industry and are a go-to product which works in many scenarios.

The Marvin Multi-Slide Scenic Door was served with a spicy red jalapeno popper to resemble its bold take on scenic doors. Everyday scenic doors are becoming more and more desirable, with their ability to open up living space into the outdoors. This really allows your outside views to be part of your home!
Another highlight was our personalization station, where you could create customized toppings on your favorite gelato (much like Marvin’s options!). Marvin has many personalization options that turns just an ordinary window into the perfect window for your home.

The other stations including an Infinity station and a bi-fold and lift-and-slide station.
Our last station was a WDB Service Station, where drinks and food was served to you, in the manner of WDB fashion. It exemplified all the great services we offer our architects, builders and homeowners. Including (but not limited to) an experienced sales staff, custom pre-finishing, window design services, installation services, in-house service/parts, delivery (including large scale items), jobsite measurement/ consolation and beautiful Marvin showrooms to use.
To complete the event we handed out beautiful large yellow roses (from Marvin’s logo) which symbolizes northern elegance and southern charm. The meaning stems from friendship and the sense of caring. It is said that a rose cannot bloom without the perfect conditions and all of those conditions can be found in a Marvin window.

This well received event really gave us a chance to show off everything we have to offer, and allowed us to see and talk with many friends (new and old). Our “Eat, Sip & Be Inspired” event truly was – a farm-to-window experience! Stay tuned for next year!
