Our window installation teams are comprised of Windows & Doors By Brownell employees that are fully insured. Each member has extensive window installation and construction experience. Our teams can handle a range of projects; from the replacement of a single bay window to a 50+ double hung window project. Not only do our teams excel at what they do, they are also courteous and mindful to treat your home with care.

Windows & Doors By Brownell's primary region for installation projects is approximately a 35 mile radius from each of our showrooms.

In-Home Consultation

Consultations can run between 30 and 90 minutes, and are of no cost to the homeowner. A member of our installed sales team will meet with a perspective customer at their home to discuss the objective of the project, evaluate current window conditions and take precise measurements. Recommended replacement window options, such as: full tear-out, sash replacement or insert units will be discussed, as well as interior and exterior trim details, any necessary removal/replacement of siding or sheetrock and existing opening modifications.

Showroom Meeting

The next step in the installation process is an optional showroom meeting. Visiting the showroom provides the homeowner an opportunity to see and operate the windows and doors first hand. This experience is often critical in the decision making process. A showroom meeting also provides an opportunity for the homeowner to ask any technical or additional questions prior to their order being placed.

In some instances, when a project permits, a showroom meeting may not be necessary.

Installation Agreement and Expectations

At this point in the process an installation agreement will be mailed to the homeowner outlining the product specifications, interior/exterior trim details, proper insulation of new unit, pre-finishing details and disposal of trash & old units.

Specific payment terms will be outlined in the agreement. A deposit is required on all installation projects before the windows or doors are ordered; final payment is due upon completion of the window/door installation.

We strive to provide realistic and up-front timetables for installed projects.

Your Installation

Our installation team’s average work day begins at your home at 7:45 am and ends at 3:30 pm. Our teams are courteous and make every effort to reduce any disruption of your household. At the end of each day they will clean up and be sure not to leave any potential hazards behind. When the job is complete, they will discuss routine maintenance and give pertinent warranty information to the homeowner.
