At Windows & Doors By Brownell we have our own employee team of installers that are fully insured and work on a year round basis. Our installation team can handle a range of projects; from the replacement of 1 bay window to a 50+ commercial window project. Windows & Doors By Brownell’s primary territory for installation projects is an approximate 35 mile radius from our stores in Williston and Plattsburgh.

1. In-Home Consultation
Consultations are highly recommended, generally run 30 minutes and are of no cost to the homeowner. A member of our installed sales team will meet with a perspective customer at their home to discuss the vision/objective of the project and take precise measurements. Recommendations regarding applicable replacement options, such as: full tear-out, sash replacement or insert units will be discussed, as well as interior and exterior trim details, any necessary removal/replacement of siding or sheetrock and existing opening modifications.

2. Showroom Meeting
The next step in the installation process is scheduling a showroom meeting. Visiting the showroom provides the homeowner an opportunity to see the products first hand. Being able to touch and feel particular features of the windows or doors is critical in the decision making process. A showroom meeting also provides the homeowner the opportunity to ask any technical or additional questions prior to their order being placed.

In some instances, when a project permits, a written installation proposal may be mailed to the homeowner in lieu of a showroom meeting.
